Introduction for National Technology Center of Process Equipment

National Technology Center of Process Equipment (original: Technical Center of Process Equipment, China Chemical Industry Ministry), founded in 1960, is administrated by China Prospect and Design Association of Petrochemical Industry, and also led by Shanghai Engineering Co. Ltd., China SinoPEC Group.

National Technology Center of Process Equipment is mainly engaged in fundamentally technical work within the professional scope of petrochemical and chemical industries, such as formulating standards and codes, developing engineering application software, carrying out the technical consultation, technical transfer, technical service and technical training in the field of process equipment.

There are three professional and technical committees subordinated to National Technology Center of Process Equipment: Equipment Technical Committee, Compressor and Pump Technical Committee and Agitation Engineering Technical Committee. The experienced specialists throughout the country are the technical backing and support of the Center.

Pressure Piping Safety Subcommittee and Computer Application Subcommittee of the China National Standardization Committee on Pressure Vessels, and Design Committee of the China pressure Vessel Association, CMES, are also located in the Center.

National Technology Center of Process Equipment was familiar with and did a lot of research works on domestic and international pressure vessel standards. The Center was qualified as a Designer for the third category pressure vessels. The Center specialized in the fields of material selection, compressor/pump/valve/piping/agitation option and corresponding engineering service.

“Process Equipment and Piping” is a nationwide professional magazine edited by the National Technology Center of Process Equipment joining with the National Technology Center of Process Piping.

There is a company subordinated to the Center – Shanghai Xunyu High Tech Center of Chemical Engineering. Shanghai Xunyu, registered as legal person in Pudong and with the registration fund of 300,000 RMB, has the full right to transfer the research and technical achievement developed by National Technology Center of Process Equipment. The business of Shanghai Xunyu includes four aspects of technical services mentioned above in process equipment and software. Now, Shanghai Xunyu has developed to be a certain scale of high tech company with the fund of 3,800,000 RMB and with a high level reputation in Pudong Developing Zone.
